The House of Muscle: Mike Musto’s 1969 Dodge Daytona

On episode 6 of The House of Muscle titled, “Angrier 2.0: Mike Musto’s 1969 Dodge Daytona,” presented by PEAK, we are in for a special treat.

Welcome to a journey that began almost 20 years ago with a tagline that read – The Ultimate Automotive Middle Finger.

It began with a rendering of a sinister 1969 Dodge Daytona that would go onto become the first pro-touring Dodge Daytona ever created. The idea came from two friends who met at an automotive rally. One in a 1968 Dodge Charger and the other in a 2005 Ferrari F430. The license plate on the Ferrari read “DRTY 430” and the Charger, “MR ANGRY”—they became friends instantly.

Its first iteration began with a stroked big block under the hood that was mated to a five-speed manual transmission that produced power to the tune of 500+ horsepower—it was raunchy and fun, but painful and finicky. However now, after a 3-year build at Wesley Motorsports, an 800+ horsepower Gen III Hemi has taken its place, along with a brand new ZF 8-speed transmission.

This is the story of ANGRIER 2.0, Mike Musto and Todd Ford’s 1969 Dodge Daytona tribute and it’s coming to you now on The House of Muscle presented by PEAK. Watch the video here.
