Wynonna Judd’s daughter, Grace Pauline Kelley, was arrested for the third time this year.
Kelley, 28, was arrested in Albemarle County, Virginia, in late October after allegedly stealing a Charlottesville church’s van, The Daily Progress reported. Ground Zero Church of the Nazarene confirmed the stolen vehicle on a GoFundMe page.
“On October 27th, our green church van and trailer were stolen from in front of our pastor’s home by Grace Pauline Kelley. Grace is currently in police custody,” a statement from the church’s lead pastor, Kent Hart, read. “The van was damaged during the theft and after being inspected by a body shop, the insurance has determined it to be a total loss.”
“The van was only valued at $3,800 and after the body shop fees and deductible we are only left with around $2,200,” the statement continued. “We are a small church and cannot afford to buy another van in the current market.”

With a goal of $30,000, the fundraising page has currently raised more than $2,000. “We want the community to know that on a personal level, we have forgiven Grace Kelley,” the statement read.
Hart reiterated the sentiment to People on Monday, December 2. “Even though we have suffered that loss, we’re just really hoping the community helps us out,” Hart told the outlet. “I’m not sure what we would get from Grace, as far as, you know, replacement, and we’re not really even going that way. We’re just forgiving her, and we’re trusting the Lord to provide for our needs.”
Hart told The Daily Progress that he was in his home on the afternoon of October 27 when he spotted his van leaving the driveway. He allegedly chased down the car and found a woman behind the wheel.
“I’m like, ‘You stole my van, get out of my van,’ beating on the door,” he told the outlet. “And at this point, I see her very clearly. I saw her buzz cut and face tattoo.”

Hart claimed that the woman “could have been high” adding, “She didn’t really seem like she was completely in her right mind.”
Hart alleged that he continued to chase the vehicle onto Virginia Route 20 before Albemarle police officer Corey Legg intervened.
“Grace advised that a male suspect had exited the driver seat and ran into the woods,” Legg wrote in a report, per the outlet.
After reviewing dashcam footage, Legg confirmed that Kelley was the driver and only person in the van. Per the outlet, Legg wrote that Kelley asked to be committed to a mental institution.

“She began stating she had sold her soul to the devil,” Legg wrote, per the outlet. “I advised the jail staff that she may have taken something. I was later informed that the jail staff observed something inside of Ms. Kelley during her body scan.”
Kelley was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center, according to the outlet. “They found out it was just gas but when they conducted Ms. Kelley’s bloodwork, she tested positive for heroin,” Legg wrote, per The Daily Progress.
Kelley faces seven charges, including three counts of felony grand larceny. Kelley was also charged with driving without a license, destruction of property with intent, failure to use headlights and setting in motion a vehicle with intent to commit a crime, People confirmed per the Albemarle County Police Department.
