Replace your AMC’s weak or non-functional steering gear box with these new standard ratio reproduction units. Each unit contains remanufactured parts and the main casting, sector shaft, and internals are all brand new. The box’s specifications include a 7/16-inch female inverted flare pressure port, 3/8-inch female inverted flare return port, 13/16-inch input shaft and are rated at 4- to 4-1/2 turns lock-to-lock. Each box is tested for leaks function and proper performance and these units will work with most 1960s to 1970s AMC cars including 1968-’70 AMX, 1968-’74 Javelin and 1970-’76 Hornets. After more than six and a half decades of exposure to the elements and road conditions, the underside of your 1958 Cadillac might need to be replaced. One of the problem areas that may need an upgrade is the exhaust system, and you don’t want to forget about the exhaust hangers. If the rotting has gone too far, this new 10-piece set is made to be stronger and last longer than the original factory parts. These reproduction items are made of 1/8-inch stainless steel with reinforced five-layer rubber and will secure the exhaust. They come with holes that are riveted in the same positions as the originals for easy installation and the rearmost hanger has cadmium-plated hardware.
