Where To Find Blacksmithing Tools In Path Of Exile 2

“Finding the Forge” is one of the earliest quests in Path of Exile 2 and it requires you to find the Blacksmithing Tools for Renly.

Completing this task will unlock the Salvage Bench for you. It lets you turn unwanted pieces of gear into useful resources, so it’s definitely worth unlocking as soon as possible. Plus, you’ll get a nice reward from Renly by giving him his tools anyway.

In this guide, we tell you where to go to find the Blacksmithing Tools for Renly as part of the “Finding the Forge” quest.

Where To Find Renly’s Blacksmithing Tools | Path Of Exile 2

Now, before we start, let’s give you some bad news: maps in Path of Exile 2 are procedurally generated each instance. As such, we can’t straight up tell you the exact location for Renly’s Tools on your game. It simply won’t be in the same spot for you as for other players.

That said, there are a few hints you can use to help you pinpoint their exact location. The first one is that the quest tells you that the tools are at Renly’s Workshop within the Ogham Village area.

The second is that the entrance to Renly’s Workshop always looks the same, even if it doesn’t appear in the same spot for every player. Look for a pair of houses that are close to each other but have a thin alley between them. If there’s a Checkpoint right outside of the alley, that’s the entrance to Renly’s Workshop. It should look like the screenshot shown above.

Make sure to keep an eye on your map when looking for these houses. Their position can sometimes obscure the alley, but it should be visible on your map.

Once you find the right spot, enter Renly’s Workshop but be ready for combat. There are always a few enemies inside, usually including at least one Elite.

When you’ve dealt with the annoying foes, look for a green exclamation symbol (!) on your minimap. They mark the exact location for the Smithing Tools. Grab them up and you’re all done here! You just need to return to Renly and turn them in.
