The 2025 Lexus RZ has a much lower starting price than the outgoing model
We're talking more than $11,000 cheaper than the 2024 model for the same set of features
For its third year in production, the 2025 Lexus RZ expands its lineup to three trim levels, introducing a new base model called the Standard trim. This addition also brings a significant price reduction to the luxury EV when compared to the outgoing 2024 model.

The 2025 Lexus RZ Standard starts at a base price of $43,975—an $11,175 reduction compared to the 2024 model. The Premium and Luxury trims also receive notable price cuts of around $7,000. Previously, the base trim was the RZ Premium, which came equipped with features like ventilated front seats with memory settings, a panoramic view monitor, a glass roof, auto-folding mirrors, and a power liftgate.
Looking over the spec sheet, the Standard trim has none of that. However, it will still give you a lengthy roster of features like dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, a wireless phone charger, auto-on LED headlamps, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a 14-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 18-inch alloy wheels painted in Dark Gray Metallic complete the appearance.
The 2025 Lexus RZ Premium brings back the equipment mentioned above, along with more paint colors and an optional Technology Package that includes parking assist, a 10-inch head-up display, and a digital key accessible by smartphone. The price for the 2025 RZ Premium drops for both powertrains to $48,175 and $52,875, respectively.
Finally, the top-tier Luxury trim piles on the options with a suede-trimmed interior with leather inserts, heated rear seats, an upgraded Mark Levinson surround sound system with 13 speakers, acoustic glass, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Equipment such as a Dynamic Sky glass roof, digital rearview mirror, and nicer 20-inch wheels are available. The RZ Luxury is available for $53,905 and $58,605, depending on powertrain choice.

The Lexus RZ still comes with two battery choices for 2025
The 2025 Lexus RZ continues to offer two battery configurations. The 300e is a front-wheel-drive setup utilizing a 72-kWh battery with a single front motor rated at 201 horsepower and 196 pound-feet of torque. The 300e should carry over the EPA range of 266 miles from the 2024 model.
The RZ 450e is an all-wheel-drive affair that uses a slightly smaller 71.4-kWh battery with dual motors, one on each axle. Total output is 308 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque thanks to the rear motor but this also drops the EPA range to 220 miles. It’s worth noting the optional 20-inch wheels will drop the 300e range to 224 miles and the 450e AWD range to 196 miles.
Lexus will include a dual-voltage cable to support Level 1 and Level 2 charging as well while DC fast charging will allow the RZ to go from near-dead to 80 percent in 30-35 minutes.
Final thoughts
The 2025 Lexus RZ injects some value into the trim lineup to go along with its new significant discount. This may sway buyers considering a Toyota bZ4X or Subaru Solterra with which it shares the same platform and battery tech. Both also have a starting price in the $40,000 range.
If the prestige badge is important, the Lexus RZ may be the answer. Just as long as you don’t have an issue with range.
