UPDATE, 12/1/24 at 5:21 p.m. ET: Hours after being stretchered off the course, Mikaela Shiffrin shared an update on her health.
“Hi guys, not really too much cause for concern at this point. I just can’t move. I have a pretty good abrasion and something stabbed me under her fingers,” Shiffrin said via Instagram on Saturday, while showing a close-up of the injury and a woman helping her. “So I just can’t move. I’m so sorry to scare everybody and it looks like all scans so far are clear so thank you for the support and concern and congratulations to the winners and to my teammates for their incredible performances.”
“Thank you for your cheers and support. Wishing the best of luck to my teammates tomorrow!!” Shiffrin captioned her post. “I’ll be cheering from the sidelines on this one.
