Ford Mustang GTD ‘Road To The ‘Ring’ Trailer Has Us Craving More

Ford just dropped the flag on its Mustang GTD ‘Road To The ‘Ring’ trailer, giving us the green light to officially get pumped up for its Ford Mustang GTD documentary, an online video that was teased earlier this year.

We remember when our audience went click crazy to hear the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD’s supercharged V8 in action earlier this fall, and now we get to hear even more of it, plus find out if the super muscle car’s 815 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque teamed with a plethora of aero and suspension enhancements is enough to break a sub 7-second around the Nürburgring, Germany’s legendary racetrack.

The Mustang GTD’s ‘Road To The ‘Ring’ trailer gives us a glance of what to expect from its upcoming documentary dubbed “Road to the ‘Ring”, which follows the Ford’s journey with its most potent street-legal Mustang to the Nürburgring.

The documentary is said to shed light on what goes into an automaker’s Nürburgring Nordschleife lap attempts, also shedding light on why production car records are continually falling.  It shares insights from prominent people who worked on the Mustang GTD program, such as Chris Farley’s cousin and current Ford CEO, Jim Farley.

The teaser video accomplished what it was supposed to do, leaving us wanting to see more, including a full lap around the ‘Ring.

It could be safe to assume that Ford wouldn’t release a teaser video like the one below unless the Mustang GTD already obliterated its sub-7-minute goal at the ‘Ring, but there’s only one way to find out: Wait for Ford to release the full documentary on December 10.

Is a 2025 Ford Mustang GTD out of reach? With a price tag reaching upwards of $300,000 and such limited availability, you’re certainly not alone, but there is good news: Now you can give your 2024 Ford Mustang GT the power of a GTD with Roush’s new supercharger.
