986-HP Brabus Rocket GTS Debuts with a Shooting Brake Design

The 986 HP Brabus Rocket GTS adopts a hatchback design with assertive styling and extra power for performance. It is based on the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT63 SE Performance, and carbon fiber has been added to various areas within the cars. The hood potion is elongated and flows back, styling up as a coupe, and its rear end is raised, thus looking like a shooting brake. The roofline extends back, dropping sharply at the taillights. On the body, exposed carbon fiber I saw, the rear end designed in an aerodynamic look, the front bumper is tweaked with plenty of squared-off vents, and a splinter that is designed to reduce the vehicle being lifted up during highspeed. The powertrain consists of a hybrid system that pairs a twin turbocharged 4.5-liter V8 engine with an electric motor that gets energy from lithium-ion batteries with 4.8 kWh capacity. It is also connected to a two-speed automatic transmission, aiding in an electric-only drive event.A total of 986 horsepower comes out and 1342 pounds of torque, but Brabus is limited to 1195 pounds of torque to save it's nine-speed automatic transmission. From 0 to 60 mph, the Brabus Rocket GTS uses 2.6 seconds at 124 mph, 9.5 seconds. The top speed is 197 Mph.The cabin is loaded with carbon fiber on the steering wheel, doors, and the center console; it's also wrapped with leather upholstery in places such as the seats and the center armrest. The price might be higher than the GT63, and the pumper has a diffuser and four exhaust pipes. GTS measures an inch wider than a Coupe and cuts in front fenders help cool the brakes and are located behind five spoke monoblock hot wheels. Also Read: 2025-2026 SUV Lineup: New Models from Chevrolet, Honda, Range Rover, Nissan & Genesis
