The upcoming Cadillac Vistiq is meant to sit between the opulent and pedigreed Escalade and the newer but equally unique Lyriq. Although Cadillac has not released any pricing information yet, we have the performance and range numbers of this upcoming mid-size luxury SUV to see how it stacks up against its brethren.

The Cadillac Vistiq's power belies its size
Thanks to its dual motors, the AWD Vistiq puts out 615 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. If drag racing your family SUV seems like a fun pastime, the 3.7 second 0-60 time should make that dream a reality. Compared to the base RWD Escalade's 420 hp and the dual motor AWD Lyriq's 515 hp, the Vistiq has them beaten by quite a bit, making the middle child the best choice for 7-seater quarter-mile runs. Charging speed, range, and cargo space are more than sufficient for decent road trips
The 102 kWh battery has a peak rate of 190 kW with DC fast charging which adds up to 79 miles in 10 minutes. Its electric brother, the Lyriq, shares the same specs but can add 86 miles in 10 minutes, which isn't the biggest difference. The Vistiq's 300-mile range also falls close to the Lyriq's 303-mile range.
As for cargo space, the numbers correlate with the vehicles' respective sizes, as one might expect. The Vistiq comes in at a total of 80.2 cubic feet of space with all but the front seats folded down. At the top end, the base Escaladade can handle 121 cubic feet of cargo with the Lyriq coming up from behind with 60.8 cubic feet.

The Vistiq's pricing matches its place in Cadillac's lineup
The base model Cadillac Vistiq Luxury should start around the $78,000 mark. The Premium Luxury, Sport, and Platinum trims don't yet have an estimated MSRP, but we wouldn't be surprised to see them inch close to six figures.
The RWD Escalade Luxury starts at $89,590 while a Luxury 1 Lyriq with the AWD dual motor powertrain would be around $63,000. Cadillac
Final thoughts
As promised, the Cadillac Vistiq is the perfect middle ground in Cadillac's luxury SUV lineup. Its power, range, charging speed, and cargo space match its MSRP, providing buyers with the Cadillac experience they expect at a relatively competitive price.
The issue still lies in that competition. The company may have trouble convincing its customer base not to splurge for the more well-known Escalade or the cheaper and arguably more attractive Lyriq.
